the kb articles found the updates

Where are the KB articles found for the updates

Where are the KB articles supporting the Win Vista Beta 2 udpates found?
RaXeT

Assuming you know how to find the kb articles in your update history, go to http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=0 and enter the article number in the For search field. Leave Search Product at All Products.
Example:
type KB915597 and you find out that this was the Windows Defender definition file update.

These KB's are 920976, 920684, 920296, 920291, 920143, 919946 and 919893
and I can't get http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=0 to give me anything but the response:
"There are no documents that match your search for "KB920976"
I can query the "internet", but just get generic articles in the German language.
So what now??
Xavier

On my Vista systems I can obtain the information by opening I.E., going to Windows Update, selecting "View update history", click on the particular update and another window opens, and I then select "More information:" and it takes me to the Microsoft web page with the information about that update.

You are right, Xavier. You cannot search these in the knowledge base yet. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921583/ for the answers to all your questions. The only one that is missing is 920143 which is a patch to allow Symantec's AV program to run.

Point taken. I guess I should have been more specific and said that you can't do a search on the specific KBID's Xavier requested using the standard method Colin mentioned and Xavier used; you end up with dead links. If you access them using WU, all the links point to the same page which is the one I posted (barring the Symantec link). At least that is the situation downloaded to my machine. The others he didn't request apparently have their own pages. -- Brad
